    • Sponsorship: Parents who are Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens can sponsor their children.
  • Visa Types:
    • Subclass 101: For children outside Australia.
    • Subclass 802: For children already in Australia.
    • Adoption Visa (Subclass 102): For children adopted from abroad.
    • Orphan Relative Visas: For children under 18 who cannot be cared for by parents due to loss or incapacity.

In cases where the child is between 18 and 25 years old, and does not have a disability, they must:

  • Not be married or in a de facto relationship,
  • Not be employed full-time,
  • Be a full-time student.

Additional Information

If one of the child’s parents is an Australian or eligible New Zealand citizen, the child is automatically granted Australian citizenship. However, in situations where you migrate or migrate with a child, or if you adopt or care for an orphaned relative, a Child Visa may be required.
