With this visa you can: apply online in or outside Australia and work up to 40 hours every 2-week period once your course starts.

The subclass visa 500 can also allow you to study in Primary, Secondary, Tertiary or Post Graduate level. Even vocational education and training (VET) and non award courses are allowed but check to make sure they are an approved provider and have cricos code , making them suitable for international students.

This way younger children and teenagers have access to primary, middle and high schools in Australia. How long does a student visa last in Australia?

A Student Visa will last your study time, so say your course goes for 1 year, your visa will run out after that. Your student visa will last for the duration of your study programme (including holiday periods) and will allow you some time to remain in Australia at the end of your course though so you don’t have to stress immediately about leaving.

For short courses, usually you will be granted a 28 day period after completion. When you choose a longer course, ending in 4th term (November-December) you will likely be granted time until 15th March to stay in Australia. This is 4 months of Australian holidays allowing you to do some serious traveling and also work without limitation.

Also graduation visa subclass 485 may extend your time in Australia. For those one who completed two years of vocational higher education in Australia, they can apply for a graduation visa allowing them to stay in Australia for additional 18 months to 4 years.

When your visa is granted, in the visa grant letter you will have a list of conditions you must obey. Not each person will have the same conditions, so make sure you check yours and you understand them well.
