Business Innovation Stream: This visa is for individuals with business skills, allowing them to operate new or existing businesses in Australia. Applicants must be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency.
Investor Stream: For those willing to invest a minimum of AUD 2.5 million in Australian investments meeting specific criteria and maintaining business or investment activity. Nomination by an Australian State or Territory government agency is mandatory.
Significant Investor Stream: This visa requires a minimum investment of AUD 5 million in Australian investments and maintaining investment activity. Nomination by an Australian State or Territory government agency or Austrade is necessary.
Business Innovation Extension: This stream extends the stay of holders of the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) in the Business Innovation stream, allowing an additional stay of up to 6, 7, or 8 years from the visa grant date. Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria and be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency.
Extension Stream: Designed for holders of the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) in the Significant Investor stream, this extension allows an additional stay of up to 4 years, totalling 8 years from the visa grant date. Eligibility criteria and nomination by an Australian State or Territory government agency or Austrade are mandatory.

BUSINESS INNOVATION AND INVESTMENT (PROVISIONAL) VISA STATE REQUIREMENTS

Our business is a member of CCIQ ( Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland) and the Polish Chamber of Commerce.

The Queensland State Migration Program is closed and will remain closed until further notice.

The new Queensland business nomination criteria is currently being finalised and will be available towards the end of July 2021 and will be published on the homepage of our website at this time.

This new criteria announcement will coincide with the launch of our new website, and name, Migration Queensland.

From then on – ‘Business and Skilled Migration Queensland’ will be known as ‘Migration Queensland’.

If you have been nominated by BSMQ for a 188 visa prior to 1 July 2021, you will be subject to current 188 criteria. However, you are able to submit your visa application to Home Affairs after this date, as long as it meets the normal 60-day requirement.

When the Migration Queensland program 2021-22 opens in late July, you will be subject to the new subclass 188 criteria.

Department of Home Affairs’ Points Test
Applicants must score at least 80 on the Department of Home Affairs’ points test in SkillSelect. This score must not include points awarded for State/ Territory nomination. This is a Victorian Government minimum requirement.

Business activity
Applicants must propose to engage in eligible business activity. An eligible business can be almost any commercial endeavour. However, some activities may be excluded unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Exclusions include:

small scale property development
small scale freight forwarding and warehousing
commodity and scrap metal export
passive investment.
Benefit to Victoria
Applicants must show how their eligible business will make a contribution to the Victorian economy and that they will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and overall strategic direction of the business.

Employees
Applicants must agree to employ at least 1 full time employee in their main business for a minimum of 12 months within the 24 months prior to lodging their nomination application for the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888). The eligible employee must work at least 30 hours per week consecutively within the 12 month period.

Eligible employee must:

be an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident, or holder of a valid New Zealand passport and;
not be a member of your family.
