Approved Destination Status stream is for citizens from certain areas of China visiting Australia on a tour organised by an approved travel agent.

Visitor Visa Approved Destination Status stream

lets citizens of the People’s Republic of China (excluding SARs) visit Australia with an organised tour group. You must remain with the organised tour group

Include family

Visitor visa doesn’t allow you to attach family members to your application. For visitor visa, each person has to apply separately.

Requirements

600 Visitor Visa Approved Destination Status stream requirements:

You must meet our health requirement.
You must meet our character requirement.
You must have, or have access to, enough money to support yourself while you are in Australia.
Be a genuine visitor intending:

to stay only temporarily in Australia
to do only the things the visa allows you to do

can enter Australia with your approved tour group
can participate in activities that are part of your tour
must leave Australia with your tour group before your visa expires

How long you can stay on visa

Approved Destination Status stream can be granted for a length of your tour.

We grant the visa with either:

single entry. If you leave Australia you will have to apply for another visa to come back
multiple entry. You can leave and re-enter Australia on this visa while it is valid
